Colours
Mid-tones and deep tones suit almost everyone: navy, charcoal, forest green, burgundy, camel, slate blue. Cream and soft white work in a blazer with something darker underneath. Avoid neon and anything that matches your background exactly; you should separate from it, not blend in.
Fit and necklines
Fit matters more than brand. A blazer that sits cleanly on the shoulders photographs sharper than an expensive one that pulls. Crew and V necklines frame the face well; very deep necklines and busy collars distract. If you wear a tie, choose a plain or small-pattern one in a colour from your palette.
Patterns and accessories
- Solid colours first. A subtle texture is fine; a bold stripe or check fights with your face.
- Small, simple jewellery. One piece is enough.
- Glasses are fine; bring them clean and we will angle the light to avoid glare.
- Iron everything. Creases show at this distance.
Grooming and the day before
Haircuts a week before, not the day before. Drink water, sleep, and skip anything new for your skin the night before. Bring lip balm and a comb; we check hair and collars between frames so you do not have to think about them.
